Return Policy

We will accept merchandise returns and exchanges up to 30 days from date of purchase, accompanied with the sales or gift receipt and in original condition. There are some exceptions - please see below for further details.

Online order returns

Our return policy is the same for both online and in-store purchases. Products purchased online need to be returned to the store for processing. If you are returning your items to the store via mail or courier, you are responsible for any shipping charges. Alternatively, items purchased online can be returned to the store in person.

Augustana Course Material Returns

If you are an Augustana student returning course materials BEFORE the term return deadline, please contact us to let us know what items you will be returning. Drop off your items at the Augustana Founders' Hall by the return deadline date, and we will issue your refund once they are received at our North Campus location.

General Merchandise

Items must be returned unopened. The following items are final sale:

• medical equipment
• special order and promotional items
• admissions test material
• class coursepacks
• lab manuals
• lab coats
• gift cards
• clearance merchandise
• special event merchandise
• personal care items
• undergarments

Faculty of Art and Design (Art Store) Items

Items must be returned unopened. The following items are final sale:

• paper products
• spray cans
• charcoal
• items dispensed by the foot
• items dispensed from the studios
• PPE
• special order art and design items

Course Materials (textbooks, course packs and lab kits)

All course materials are normally final sale, unless purchased within the course material return period at the beginning of each term (see below).

The return period begins when each semester's book list goes live and ends approximately one week after the add/drop date. Please see below for return deadlines.

Textbooks and lab kits must be in new, re-saleable condition; sealed textbooks must be returned with the wrapping intact. The original sales receipt must accompany all returns.

Used books, eBooks and digital access codes are final sale, regardless of when they are purchased.

Course Material Return Deadlines

Course materials purchased after the return deadline indicated below are final sale.

Continuing Education Course Materials

Course materials purchased for Continuing Education classes may be returned within 10 days of purchase in new, re-saleable condition, with any wrapping intact. The original sales receipt must accompany all returns.
