Agreement Between User and the University of Alberta Bookstore

This agreement governs your use of the Bookstore Web Site operated by the University of Alberta Bookstore and Bookstore at Augustana, collectively known as U of A Bookstore and/or UA Bookstore.

The Bookstore Web Site and Services are offered to you conditional to your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein. Your use of the Bookstore Web Site and Services constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions and notices.

Modification of these Terms of Use

The University of Alberta Bookstore reserves the right to change these terms, conditions and notices under which the Bookstore Web Site and Services are offered, without notice.

Information Collection and Use

When you visit the University of Alberta Bookstore Web Site, the web server automatically collects a limited amount of information essential for the operation and security of our Web Site. Additionally, we may request additional information from you to provide Services. The type of information collected and its use is outlined in our privacy policy. By using the U of A Bookstore Web Site, you are consenting to allow your data to be collected and used as indicated in the privacy policy.

The Bookstore Web Site may contain links to other Web sites ("Linked Sites"). The Linked Sites are not under the control of the U of A Bookstore nor is the U of A Bookstore responsible for the contents of any Linked Site, including and without limitation, any link contained in a Linked Site, or any changes or updates to a Linked Site. No Unlawful or Prohibited Use

As a condition of your use of the Bookstore Web Site and Service, you warrant to the U of A Bookstore that you will not use the Web Site or Service for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these terms, conditions, and notices. You may not use the Web Site or Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Web Site or interfere with any other party's use and enjoyment of the Web Site or Services. You may not obtain or attempt to obtain any materials or information through any means not intentionally made available or provided through the Web Site.

Right to Use Feedback or Suggestion You Submit

By submitting any feedback or suggestions to the U of A Bookstore concerning the Web Site or the Services, you warrant and represent that you own or otherwise control the rights necessary to do so and you are granting the U of A Bookstore and affiliated companies permission to:

• Use, modify, copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, publish, sub-license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any such feedback or suggestions; and
• Sub-license to third parties the unrestricted right to exercise any of the foregoing rights granted with respect to the feedback or suggestions.

The foregoing grants shall include the right to exploit any proprietary rights in such feedback or suggestions, including but not limited to rights under copyright, trademark, service mark or patent laws under any relevant jurisdiction. No compensation will be paid with respect to U of A Bookstore's use of the materials contained within such feedback or suggestions. The U of A Bookstore is under no obligation to post or use any materials you may provide and may remove such materials at any time in the U of A Bookstore's sole discretion.

Termination / Access Restriction

The U of A Bookstore reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Bookstore Web Site and the related services or any portion thereof at any time, without notice.

Online Purchases

Online prices are generally the same as those in-store. We do not mark up our online prices. Occasionally, we may offer an online exclusive sale, which will be marked as such.

All contents of the Bookstore's Web Site are copyrighted by the University of Alberta Bookstore unless otherwise indicated. The names of companies and products mentioned herein or on the Website are the trademarks of their respective owners.
